Know India Programme

Know India Programme (KIP):

Know India Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs is a three-week orientation programme for diaspora youth conducted with a view to promote awareness on different facets of life in India and the progress made by the country in various fields e.g. economic, industrial, education, science & technology, communication & information Technology, and culture.  The KIP provides a unique forum for students and young professionals of Indian origin to visit India, share their views, expectations & experiences and to develop closer bonds with the contemporary India.

The programme is open to Persons of Indian Origin in the age group of 18-30 years (excluding non-resident Indians), who have not participated in any previous KIP, Internship Programme for Diaspora Youth (IPDY) or Study India Programme (SIP).  The expenditure on local hospitality and 90% of the cost of air tickets would be met by the Government of India.  Gratis visas will be issued to the selected participants.

Participation: The eligible young overseas Indians may participate in the 2018-19 edition of the KIP, which will coincide with the 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD).  For further details, please visit: http://kip.gov.in/
